The supervisory author MD PhD lost her only child, a daughter, to myocarditis at a track meet last year. They lived in Amherst where the health dept mandated vaccinations and 91% of the town was vaccinated, according to the health dept. 4 months after the 16 year old died the school superintendent took $2,000 from the state to host a vaccine clinic at the school, and gave out $75 gift cards to students or adults who took a shot.
Seriously, who belongs to the AMA anymore? Is the membership skewed towards physicians who have their dues paid by large corporate concerns? After Obamacare and now this, the outright lying--purposeful and NOT by way of incompetence, will the AMA ever represent more than 20% of practicing physicians? I think not. Why would anyone want to associate with an organization which has clearly forgotten its mission and clearly has hastened the loss of the collective medical community's mind? Sad. SO sad.
Thank you so much for your analysis. Labeling all opposing views as “misinformation” is contrary to how science is supposed to advance. Those who do the labeling are supporting a tribe, and not truth. SARS Cov-2 has brought out our most primitive aspects, whether through actual fear, or through the intense need to save face and never admit error.

I am a practicing orthopedic surgeon in Bangor, Maine, and am organizing a statewide journal club (CME event) looking at current medical literature (published articles) around Covid vaccine in 2023. I am looking for some assistance finding the best articles to have reviewed at the journal club event in the fall. The goal of our journal club is to have a professional open (moderated) discussion on the strengths/weaknesses of the published articles on Covid vaccine in certain clinical areas. My hope is that we can bring our medical community closer together (or at least understand each other better) over the various aspects of Covid vaccine. Thank you Tracy! So glad that there are doctors like you, Vinay, Marty (and all the others) are willing to speak up and point out all the glaring errors and bias in these articles. I continue to struggle with how quickly it seems for these doctors to quickly dismiss any conversation about the negative aspects of mask wearing. I fear that schools (administrators) will continue to think masks "must do something" based on articles such as this one and reinstate a mask policy any time there is an uptick in supposed cases. I look to my own governing body ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association) and they continue to have information on their website siting the importance of wearing a mask to prevent transmission as well as articles that state there is "no data to show it impacts language development". I find it beyond frustrating! Critical thinking involves questioning and discussion which is so hard in the current climate of "misinformation" cancellation.
